This tournament was organized in memory of Gary Luccini "The Bear" who passed away in 2001. Gary was the longtime superintendent at Franklin Country Club. His two sons, Mike and Brian, are in the golf industry. Mike is the superintendent at Franklin CC. Brian was a superintendent before joining the Tom Irwin Company.
